I'm attempting to update my blog again and hoping that my computer will cooperate!

Another summer has come and gone!  Always so quickly and usually with a lot of moaning, groaning and dissatisfaction!  Especially this summer since the kids and I spent OH about 3.5 weeks of it sick sick sick!  It was nightmare and something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy....well maybe my worst!

The boys were so sick with fevers and coughs!  My parents did their best to be helpful to me yet also avoid me and the boys to hopefully keep themselves well!

Oh about 9-11 days after I got to Boise with the kids Jason flew in and we were finally all feeling... Just OK, but we decided we couldn't waste the rest of our vacation and headed out for some family time!

This is Jason's younger brother Greg!  He was diagnosed with Cancer late spring!  We were so happy to spend time with his family!  It was tons of fun and lots of laughs and good times!

Cousins!

Sweet girl was not afraid to get dirty even though I heard strict instructions from her parents that she was to stay CLEAN!
WHOOPS!

My awesome and most beautiful Sis in Law Mary and her
handsome baldy hubby!
Love them!

What's a Vacation with out some Varsity Team time!
We love our BFF's!
They are soooo good to us in every way!
We had an evening full of giggles, then heartbreak (may have been a little boat scratch involved....shhhh), some inappropriate man hugging, dares, bribery, threats, of course some booty shakin, but most of all MEMORIES!
We love the Arnie's and miss them DAILY!

Sweet Miss Jenna!
Dylan talks about her almost every day!
I think he's in love!  Do you blame him?

Paul and sweet Katie girl!  I love her to pieces and can never get enough of her sweetness!
Paul trying to find a song good enough for Jason to wake board too!
He's so hard to please....right Paul?

On the way home we stopped in Orem for a family reunion for my mom's side of the family!  It's usually eventful and extremely entertaining!  I was let down this year since all the normal people showed up.....dang it, but alas we're all family and love each other....Right?  I did get to see my most favorite cousin, Cami!  She always makes me laugh and put a smile on my face!

After we said our "See you Laters" to my parents and sister we headed to Colorado!  I was (maybe still am) bitter about my poopy 10ish days of being sick at my parents!  So we got into Vail, CO pretty early and decided to stay and by stay I mean for 2 nights!  Jason has tried everything to put a smile on my face and to help make up for those hellish 10 days!  He's so great at making sure I'm happy!  I wonder how long I can keep this up!!!
We got a great place off Craigslist right in the heart of Vail, surrounded by great scenery, shopping and food!
We had a blast and are hoping to make it that way this winter for a little fun on the slopes!

View from our balcony!

Vail prettiness while on a hike!

When we started the dreaded drive across Kansas we noticed that poor Dylan was super bored!  He had taken his Mr. Potato Head accesories and was decorating himself!  I couldn't help but join in but spared all of you pictures....driving across Kansas was a nightmare and I was getting a little out of control and inappropriate with Potato accesories!

Love my silly boy!
All in all the Summer Vaca trip to Boise was not what I expected or even wanted!  We didn't get to spend much time with friends or family, but were so grateful for those who did take the time to see us and those that really appreciated the time they got with us knowing we truly did our best to see those that wanted to see us!  We love our Boise friends and family, but still no promises we're coming back!

Summer has come and gone.....I'm not too sad considering the summer we had, but its always great to get the kids in school and get their minds and bodies actively learning again!

Samie is in 5th grade this year and got the teacher she wanted!
Not to mention 3 of her best friends in her class too!
Lucky Girl!

Peyton is in 3rd grade this year and got the teacher he wanted as well, but only has girls in his class that he was friends with from 2nd grade!
Hey girls make you cool!  Keep around and ONLY as friends!

.....And then there's poor Dylan!  He's stuck at home with mom all day!  He's bored out of his mind and is constantly asking when we can go get Sam and P!
He looks forward to his time at the Gym daycare where he can play with his BENDS (friends) which like his older brother are mostly GRILS (girls)!  He loves it there so much I actually applied for a very part time job there hoping that I can make some BENDS too and find people with similar interests as me!  Plus I get my membership for FREE!!!  Yeah Yeah!  That's what I'm talking about!  So my fingers are crossed that I get the job and Dylan and I can have our lonely needs met!

We love all 3 of our special little kids and are so proud of all of them and all the great things they do daily to make us love them more!  We are so proud of all they have accomplished and for the great examples they are to their friends at school, church and home!

We love you all and miss you lots!

BY THE WAY.....We realized on the drive home that the freeway actually goes both ways and believe it or not planes actually fly to Kansas City and back to Idaho!  We would love visitors and could promise you a good time if you do come out to visit and somewhere to sleep too!

Christmas in the Park

We went to Lee's Summit, which is 30 min. east of us, for a drive around a lake and to look for some fire wood!  We didn't find any firewood, but did find a little festival/celebration thing called Christmas in the Park!  It didn't start for an hour and a half and we all wanted to check it out so we headed out to Raymore, MO where some of our friends live and chilled with them for a bit and then grabbed some dinner and headed back out to check out the Christmas thing!  It ended up being so great and the kids loved it!  All the lights were animated and was so fun to watch!  Wish I would've taken better pics or even video of some of them, but alas I didn't so this will have to do!  Enjoy!

Sledding Hill

Ginger Bread Kids teeter totter

Ginger Bread house with a little girl jumping on the trampoline!

Snowman family!

Kid sledding down hill
....... and then

Sledder hit the snowman and the snowman's head fell on top of the sledder!
It was super cute!

Christmas Caroler's!

It was a good time and we were glad we stuck around to see it! We found out there was another similar type thing in Olathe, southwest of us, so we will probably check that out next week!

We love you all and hope your holidays are coming together smoothly and with the least amount of stress possible!

Starting the Christmas Season

Our Christmas tree!!  Found this on sale for a steal!!  I love that!
It's annoying yet somewhat fun to do Christmas in a new house!
I'm not gonna lie!  I love how things turned out this year!
I didnt even attempt putting ribbon on the tree because I didnt wanna ruin the day by swearing at the tree!  I think I'm finally learning!
I started the tree skirt last year and finished it this year!  I love it!

Stockings I made last year!
Yes I'm bragging and being a show off because I'm not going to lie I'm pretty proud of myself for doing them!
Love having a real fireplace!
It really adds to the season!  So fun trying to start a fire and keep it going and then scooting chairs around it and reading and spending time together!
Love!

I'm going to try my best to keep my blog up instead of going 3 months without an update!  So more fun pics coming soon!

Love you all and Happy Holidays!

Dylan

He is soooo funny!  He wasn't staying in his room at night so we tried the baby gate at the door like my sis, Nickelle, suggested!  It worked, but on the this specific night he decided that this spot was more comfortable then his bed!
Silly Boy!

This horse is at a Grocery Store by our house!
He loves riding on it and knows that if he is good he can ride it!  Thankfully its free!  He usually rides it a few times and loves to say, "Yee Haw Yee Haw!!"  It adorable!
Then he makes this funny face!
Ha ha ha lol!!!

Yard Clean-up

We always seem to make houses we rent so much better then we we moved into them!  How do these homeowners get so lucky?
Jas decided to do some cleanup in the backyard and as he was walking from the front yard to the back he hit his shovel on the ground and heard a hard sound like it had hit brick!  He swept away the grass and behold this is what was under all the overgrown grass!  Beautiful!  Why would you let the grass grow over this?  Crazy people!
So Jas cleared all the grass away and trimmed it all out and vuala!!  Beauty!   Way to go babe!  Youre the best!

The flower beds around the back deck were so messy and just had weeds and crap growing in them ..... soooooo Jas fixed them!  Of course now it looks AMAZING!!

Im so lucky to have a man that will work hard and make a messy yard look fantastic!
When we did this to the front yard we had neighbors come over and thank us for cleaning up the eye sore in the neighborhood!  Good thing they never saw the backyard!

Halloween Fun

It's tradition in our family that we paint pumpkins every year!  It started that when I was little we would paint them during Fall General Conference!  Well now with busy schedules we just fit it in whenever we can!  This was a morning before Jas had to be to work!  The kids were SO EXCITED!!

Finished projects!
Jason (obviously bsu themed), Peyton, Samie, Dylan and Mine!

Getting ready for a night of fun and a lot of walking!  I swear it was uphill both ways!!
Peyton (pirate) Dylan (hound dog) Samie (witch)

It was a successful night full of scares and candy!

Camping and Day Trips

After our last horrible camping experience we waited til it wasnt 104 degrees plus heat index and took a 2nd shot at it!
Knowing that most of the lakes would be muddy to swim in we didnt care if we could swim in the lake or not so we picked a place in Missouri that had a lake with hiking trails around it!  It was an extrememly pleasant experience this time around!

 .....And Dylans off!!!

If you look closely you can see Dylan sitting down in the middle of the trail!  He decided that he had gone far enough and wanted to be carried the rest of the way!  I gave in and carried my sweet baby!

Peyton and Jas climbed this tree that went over the path!
Great photo opp!

This is Shawnee Lake!  It's about 10 min from our house if that!
It has a ton of picnic areas and bike/walking trails that are paved and natural too!  Love this lake!

Kids were skipping rocks in the lake!  We told them that those things sticking out of the water were alligators! haha I know so mean!
